Meet The Team!

The Gingerbread team comes with over 25yrs experience in the industry, consisting of Amanda, Claire and Peter. They have a wealth of experience and can guide you through your wedding events and deliver visual merchandising solutions. We specialise in the design of weddings, creative projects, events and funerals.

Amanda

Amanda, big sis.

I have worked in the hotel, hospitality and events industry for over 25 years. Taking a break to have my son, I then had a change of direction and worked for the NHS for 15 years where I organised events and training courses for the Anaesthetic team at a hospital before teaming up with Claire, my lil sis, to set up Gingerbread Events. We now love bringing our experience and knowledge to being a part of every couples special day bringing their ideas to life.
Working with flowers has been a dream for many years so I get to do what I love now too.

Claire

Claire, lil sis.

After studying Art and Design at college and University, gaining my Ba (hons degree) in Design Studies, I went on to work for Marks and Spencer doing visual merchandising, I then went on to Harvey Nichols, Manchester as part of the Display team working my way up to Display Manager. I worked there for 11 years and I absolutely loved it, overseeing window installations, interior design, visual merchandising, events and signage, working with high end brands , I then went on to set up Gingerbread Events with my big sis and the rest is history.

Peter

Peter, Head Florist.

I started working with flowers on 2010, where I was trained by a number of very talented florists.

As a passionate gardener, flowers have always been a huge part of my life and floristry has provided me with a fantastic medium that has enabled me to combine flowers with design. I have now gained a level 2 diploma in Horticulture, working alongside the local RHS at Bridgewater.

With bespoke designs, film and TV work, and more recently designing my own wedding flowers, working with Amanda, who has an eye for detail and curly Claire’s flair for design, we offer a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Gingerbread is not the usual events planning business. With over 10 years of experience working with global brands to individuals, delivering events which are hassle free and bring people together for good times in the perfect setting.

Working with high end fashion clients such as Harvey Nichols, Gingerbread has a wealth of experience in delivering visual merchandising solutions with original and creative outcomes.

If you are looking to create an event that your audience will remember Gingerbread can turn your concept into an unforgettable experience. We have worked with corporate companies, large scale venues and private events. We style each event considering the use of brand colours into furnishings, design centrepieces, provide fresh floristry services, and build bespoke props.

Festive Styling

Gingerbreads festive services cover all seasons including Christmas, Easter, Valentines day and everything in between. We have provided decorations for corporate companies, offices, food courts, restaurants, and private homes. Styling a bespoke space with subtle personal touches to make each festive season feel extra special.

Flowers

Flowers are used for every emotion, to say how sorry you are for the loss of a loved one or to celebrate new partnerships or just to show you care. As well as our made to order online bouquets we also offer bespoke floral services guiding you through colour schemes, suggestions, seasonal flowers and foliage.
